In II Timothy 4:1-2, our brother Paul writes to Timothy, “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with complete patience and teaching.”
Our goal here is simple. We recognize and accept the calling that has been placed upon our lives to serve the Lord by becoming shepherds of his flock. We accept the standard to preach the word and want to challenge each other as we endeavor together for the sake of the gospel. So, as we ponder and attempt to articulate what the Lord teaches us and indeed has taught us already, our pursuit is to be ready, in and out of season, to give an answer for what we believe. Why? Because we know that we will be held accountable to a living Savior on whether we have prepared for ministry in complete patience and teaching.
Hopefully this will be encouraging and challenging to any who read. We are fallible and open always for critique and comment, from any who would humbly do so.
